OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The Campaign against Isis in Iraq and Syria
Major General Christopher Ghika has just finished a year as the Deputy Commander of the counter ISIS campaign in the Middle East. It is his second tour in this role, having been in Baghdad during the early days of the ISIS rising in 2014/5. He will give an overview of the campaign and how it has changed over time followed by drawing out the main features of the operation and what lessons and guidance diplomats, statesmen and leaders may take from the experience.
