During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. The Munsterberg group studies molecular and cellular mechanisms of cell fate specification, focussing on mesodermal lineages. We have investigated the emergence of cardiac progenitor cells from the primitive streak during gastrulation, and characterized the signalling pathways controlling their migration trajectories. In paraxial mesoderm, recent work has examined the dynamics of chromatin accessibility in developing somites along the body axis.
