Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844-89), scarcely published in his own lifetime, is now considered one of the great poets of his era. His poems have a rich vision and a unique voice whether in joy or in desolation.
We’ll take a few poems and appreciate them in the context of his Christian and Jesuit vocation, and his lifetime spiritual search.
