On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Many historians have learned to pay attention to material and visual sources. This shift in practice has brought historians into closer contact with museum collections and the professionals who manage, preserve, collect, and display them. These interactions can be enriching and productive—as the AHRC’s Collaborative Doctoral Partnership programme (tinyurl.com/ywymkw6d) shows. But they can also obscure the distinctions between historical and collections-based careers. Bringing together a range of museum professionals, this panel discussion aims to clarify those differences, helping you to identify effective strategies for pursuing your chosen professional goals. Questions welcome!
A sandwich lunch will be provided following the event – registration is required but places are limited.
