Speakers:
Dr Alex Green is a consultant neurosurgeon, and Ben Seymour is professor of clinical neuroscience, both based at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.
They have been exploring the neurocircuitry underlying pain responses in people undergoing DBS treatment. The new Oxford-based EPIONE (Effective Pain Interventions with Neural Engineering) programme aims to transform how chronic pain is managed by combining world-leading engineering with neuroscience.
