On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Simon Glendinning, Professor of European Philosophy and Head of Department at the European Institute of the London School of Economics, explores the rich and often complicated relationship between Britain and Europe in his talk “Europe: The View from Britain – A Politico-Philosophical Exploration of European Identity and Britishness.” Looking beyond Brexit headlines, Glendinning asks how Britain’s story has been shaped by its closeness to, and distance from, Europe. Blending political reflection with deeper questions about culture and identity, the talk invites the audience to think afresh about what it means to be British, European, or both.
