OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Critiques of Liberalism and Islamic Political Thought
Seminar 4 explores debates about the metaphysical and meta-ethical presuppositions of liberal political theory, with an emphasis on their congruence, or otherwise, with the Islamic tradition of political thought, and their (post)-colonial genealogies.
The Oxford Islam and Justice Programme aims to provide a grounding in the academic and ideological debates surrounding the relationship between Islamic views of justice and the modern liberal order. It comprises five 2-hour seminars, with associated readings, in Michaelmas 2024, taught by leading academics in the field.
Please review the full details before registering as there are pre-readings for the Seminar:
