The Oxford Inspiration Speaker Series welcomes an outstanding young scientist for its inaugural event. The aim of the series is to present inspiring role models and have them talk about their lives. The topic of the talk will be Dr Wolfram’s story as much as her research. The session will start with a 40-minute talk by Dr Wolfram followed by a question-and-answer session kickstarted by the host.
About the speaker

After completing her doctorate in China in 2016, Dr Wolfram now leads the Nanomedicine and Extracellular Vesicles Laboratory at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in the U.S.. Native of Finland, Dr Wolfram was selected as one of 12 internationally accomplished Finns in 2017, alongside Nobel laureates. In the past five years, she has authored over 40 publications and was included in the Amgen Scholars Ten to Watch List, which highlights bright up-and-comers in science and medicine. She has developed several nanoparticles for the treatment of various diseases, including cancer.

Please get a free ticket for the event by following the EventBrite link below. Tickets are not mandatory for admission but they help the organiser gauge the number of people to expect. Please also indicate your attendance on Facebook to promote the event. Attendance is FREE. Admission is restricted to Oxford Bodleian Card or Oxford Alumni Card holders, and up to 3 guests per cardholder. After the event, Dr Wolfram and the host will go to the Rickety Press pub in Jericho. Anyone is welcome to join for drinks and/or dinner.
