OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. UK climate change policies and their impact on air pollution and health
Making the right choices to achieve the Climate Change Act emissions reduction target offers potentially the biggest air quality and public health improvements opportunity since the Clean Air Act of 1956. Professor Williams’ will draw on recent energy mix scenario analysis findings that suggest polices should be carefully chosen to avoid unnecessary adverse public health impacts.
Professor Williams’ research focuses on the relationship between air quality and health, and on the linkages between air quality and climate change. He is currently a member of AQEG and was both the former Head of the Air Quality Programme in Defra and chair of the CLRTAP Executive Body .
