A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. <Capernaum> (2018): The Politics of Representing Poverty
OnThursday 13 Feb., the Global South Film Soicety at St. Antony’s is showing <Capernaum> (2018). In this internationally acclaimed Lebanese movie, a 12-year-old boy sued his parented for giving birth to him in a world of poverty and suffering. Meanwhile, we have invited Joumana Talhouk, who’s taking DPhil in International Development at Oxford, for a presentation themed “The Politics of Representing Poverty” before the screening. The event is free.
