The challenges of setting up partnerships in action-oriented research
Part of the Skoll Centre’s Research for Action Seminar Series
Anna Custers, Doctoral Candidate & Skoll Centre Early Career Research Fellow, Saïd Business School

Drawing on experience of more than 10 research collaborations with various partners (NGOs, public and private sector), in this talk Anna will illustrate implementation challenges that arise when conducting action oriented research. These challenges range from political buy-in, to research design compromises, to conflicting research and implementation objectives. She will argue that the key to aligning objectives is for all partners to take a beneficiaries-oriented approach.
