Leadership often requires us to respond to uncertainty in ways that help our teams to work effectively and to achieve our goals for our patients. In this interactive session we will introduce some tools to help you consciously choose how to lead and support your teams during uncertainty.

Dr Oscar Lyons runs leadership development programmes for doctors, allied health professionals and researchers across a range of NHS organisations and universities. He practiced medicine in New Zealand before moving to Oxford for his DPhil in Leadership Development in Healthcare.

Mary Fenwick is an executive teams and leadership coach, who also writes the main advice column for Psychologies magazine. A former director of the Whitehall and Industry Group, she qualified as a coach in 2009. Mary is a member of the Professional Speaking Association, and her specialist subjects as a writer, speaker and coach include resilience, creativity, and inspirational leadership, particularly for women.

Oscar Mathew is a qualified barrister and mediator, and Director of The Medical Mediation Foundation. Oscar has a background in regulatory and public law. Prior to his work with The Medical Mediation Foundation, Oscar was a senior legal adviser to the GMC, overseeing judicial reviews and statutory appellate work in the High Court, and had conduct of the Supreme Court case of Montgomery v Lanarkshire Health Board [2015] UKSC 11, one of the most significant medical law cases in the last 25 years.
