OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Doug Scott Memorial Lecture with British mountaineer Leo Houlding
This memorial lecture in honour of Doug Scott, the iconic mountaineer and humanitarian, will be given by Leo Houlding, one of Britain’s top climbers. He will give an illustrated lecture about his epic adventures in the mountains in the last 25 years and will report back on his recent July 2023 expedition to Baffin Island. The event will raise money for Community Action Nepal, which was established by Doug Scott to improve the standard of living of remote mountain communities in Nepal by supporting health posts, schools and livelihood projects.
