A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. HAPP One-Day Conference 'Polymaths Across the Eras'
Throughout the centuries there have been rare individuals who have been polymaths, often making significant contributions to knowledge through their interests covering a number of different fields. Across the eras from medieval times up to the last century, this conference will spotlight several polymaths who were well known for their key ideas in physics as well as in other areas and it will examine how having a complex body of knowledge across subjects has contributed to progress in science.
