Predicting the development of rheumatoid arthritis in those at risk
New onset inflammatory arthritis is common. In some cases, this progresses to a chronic inflammatory disease such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) whilst in other cases patients follow a resolving disease course. This talk will address the earliest stages of inflammatory arthritis, focussing disease mechanisms that characterise the onset of RA and biomarkers that may be useful in predicting RA development in patients at risk.
