Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Elie Shamir is a figurative painter of the landscapes and people of the rural interior of Northern Israel. These landscapes are inhabited by different ethnic groups and are charged with emotion and history. His depictions of the relations between people, the landscape and each other are highly evocative and also relate to the figurative legacy in painting. He will be making two presentations at Oxford towards the end of February 2018. He will be showing images of his paintings. The second event is at All Souls College in the Old Library on Monday 26th February. All welcome.
