Cringe Free Networking - What, Why & How
Few of us like the idea of ‘networking’. But we know that forging good relationships helps us understand how things work in new spheres of research or employment, and can open doors. Come along for an hour of myth-busting insights into the hidden job market and tips on effective networking through various mechanisms including social media.

1pm – 2pm open to all, and feel free to bring your lunch with you.

Researchers are invited to stay for a second hour (2pm – 3pm) to discuss opportunities and challenges common to networking within academic circles, or as a bridge into related policy, industry or service sectors. We will finish by 3pm. If you are a research student or staff member keen to stay for the 2pm – 3pm discussion, please also book a place for this hour via the separate event on CareerConnect titled ‘Networking Extra for Researchers’.
