TORCH Reimagining Performance Network – Graduate ‘Work-in-Progress’ Event
TORCH Re-Imaging Performance Network – Graduate ‘Work-in-Progress’ Event
5.30 pm – 7 pm Monday 30 January (week 3)
Radcliffe Humanities Building

On Monday of 3rd week, the TORCH Reimagining Performance Network will host a graduate ‘work-in-progress’ discussion seminar. The speakers, all current DPhil students, Nicholas Duddy (English), Jake Robertson (MML) and Anna Saroldi (English) will talk on a range of topics, including the depiction of suicide in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman (1949), Franca Rame and Dario Fo’s UK and US tours, and professional theatre in Stalin’s forced-labour camps. The event will consist of three short (15 mins) talks followed by a more discursive question and answer session. The event is open to all. Though, we particularly welcome undergraduate, masters and DPhil students as well as ECRs who are interested in theatre and performance and hope that this event will provide an opportunity to meet others who are working in a similar area in an informal and relaxed environment. Light refreshment will be provided.
