Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. This is a precious opportunity to hear another concert given by the wonderful Castalian Quartet, whose three-year residency at Oxford University (music.web.ox.ac.uk/castalian-string-quartet) has been made possible by the Cosman Keller Trust. Mark-Anthony Turnage’s new quartet will be heard alongside the magnificent Brahms Piano Quintet, a work first performed in a private premiere with Clara Schumann playing the piano part and then completed by the composer in Baden-Baden in 1865.
