This participative workshop provides doctoral students in the third year and above with information about the viva, guidance on planning a proactive approach to it, and opportunities to practise.
COURSE DETAILS
The course will look at the rules and expectations of the viva exam and identify and practise practical ways to prepare.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the session participants will be able to:
 Develop their awareness and understanding of the rules and expectations of the viva exam.
 Use tools and strategies to prepare for the exam.
 Develop an awareness of the examiner’s perspective.
 Know what to expect of the exam.
