An Introduction to FUNPACK – 3 June 11am (Microsoft Teams, link will be provided week commencing 1 June)

To register, please visit: oxford.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/introduction-to-funpack

FUNPACK is a command-line tool which makes processing non-imaging UK Biobank data FUN! FUNPACK can be used to extract data for specific variables and subjects, and to perform a range of cleaning and preprocessing steps on the data. Paul McCarthy will give an overview of the problem that FUNPACK solves, how to use FUNPACK, and the different processing techniques that it provides.

For anybody who is particularly interested, they can look at the project website, and install FUNPACK on their own computers (although basic knowledge of installing Python libraries is assumed):

git.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/funpack

Once installed, running a command called funpack_demo will open an interactive Jupyter Notebook, which demonstrates many of the features built into FUNPACK.
