Brave Spaces
The People’s Supper – thepeoplessupper.org – gathered thousands of people to talk after one of America’s most contentious elections in 2016. Through this project together with social justice movement work and personal relationships, Micky ScottBey Jones – the Justice Doula – has learned to create Brave Spaces. Here our humanity is centred and we are all invited to learn, grow and do better as we know better for the liberation of all.

So often we hear about safe space – the promise of a judgement and harm-free environment. But is that even possible? Micky is calling us to a different practice – one where we can bravely risk mistakes, call each other to more truth and love, and co-create a space where we each have room to grow as activists while still being accountable to one another. If we want to work towards the abolition of systems of harm and oppression, we need to practise that in our own relationships.

Join Micky for an interactive conversation and exploration of creating brave space together.
