The biodiversity value of degraded tropical forests
OCTF seminar followed by drinks

This seminar will investigate the impacts of selective-logging and secondary forest regrowth on tropical biodiversity, and on the management possibilities for better protecting threatened tropical species.

David Edwards is lecturer in conservation science at the University of Sheffield. His work focuses mainly on two main interrelated issues: (1) understanding the impacts of land-use change on tropical biodiversity, and (2) the mechanisms to better manage tropical biodiversity at minimal financial cost.
