OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The Role of Social Endometriosis Research in Improving Care and Addressing Intersectional Health Disparities
Dr Annalise Weckesser will discuss her qualitative studies exploring women’s experiences of endometriosis and doctors’ perspectives on treating the condition and how to improve care. She’ll explore what this research, and the growing body of social research on endometriosis more generally, contributes to efforts to improve care and address health disparities at the intersections of gender and race, and reflect on the ‘work to be done’ going forward in qualitative investigations of the condition.
