Jane Guyer is professor Emerita, Department of Anthropology, Johns Hopkins University, USA, and author of the acclaimed book, Marginal Gains: Monetary Transactions in Atlantic Africa (2004), among others.

Professor Guyer will be joining us on Tuesday, 31st October to give her ‘‘Pathways in Thought, Career, and Changing Times’‘ talk in the Dahrendorf Room at St Antoy’s College, Univeristy of Oxford, at 5.00 pm.

Presentation of a book in honour of Jane Guyer, The Political Economy of Everyday Life in Africa: Beyond the Margins (James Currey, 2017), edited by Wale Adebanwi, will also take place.
