Inflammatory bowel diseases are a group of complex disorders that include Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. A well established inborn error of immunity is caused by IL10 signalling defects that lead to spontaneous colitis in mice and infantile onset inflammatory bowel disease in humans. We discuss recent findings of neutralizing anti-IL10 autoantibodies in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
