OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The interplay between social structures and language variation in Welsh-speaking communities
The Celtic Seminar will be held jointly this term by Oxford and the Centre for Advanced Welsh and
Celtic Studies (CAWCS), Aberystwyth. All Oxford seminars will be at 5.15 pm on Thursdays either
hybrid (online and in person) or online-only via Microsoft Teams. Where held in person, Oxford
seminars are in the History of the Book Room, English Faculty, Manor Road. Please contact
david.willis@jesus.ox.ac.uk if you need a link. All CAWCS seminars will be held online at 5.00 pm on
Thursdays via Zoom. Please contact a.elias@wales.ac.uk for the link.
