Building a Virtual Reality website
Discover how VR websites can transform the way we teach, learn, and showcase creative works. A key advantage of VR websites is their accessibility. Unlike traditional VR experiences that require specialized hardware and software installation, VR websites can be accessed with just a link on a VR headset or PC, making them instantly available to anyone with an internet connection. This talk aims to inspire academics, artists and educators to embrace this cutting-edge technology. Whether you’re looking to innovate your teaching methods, showcase your art in new dimensions, or simply explore the possibilities of VR, this presentation will provide valuable insights and practical knowledge. We will explore the key modules of a free e-learning course designed to empower individuals to create immersive VR websites, regardless of their prior programming experience.

The presenter, Maciej Mackowiak, has a keen interest in Virtual Reality (VR). His journey into VR began in 2016 at Adlens, a startup based in Oxford, where he contributed to the development of a cutting-edge optical system for next-generation VR headsets. His commitment to sharing knowledge led him to focus on educating others about building accessible VR websites. Maciej is currently facilitating an immersive VR course for the dacade.org learning platform.
