On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

The Oxford Classical Drama Society will be joining forces with the APGRD to host a screening of ‘Orestes’, the 2021 Greek play, directed by former Oxford students Marcus Bell and Alison Middleton. Due to pandemic restrictions, the play was an entirely virtual production, combining ancient Greek and new translations with contemporary dance, live comedy and an original soundtrack. The film won First Prize in the Cameron Mackintosh Drama Fund’s Creative Digital Theatre Showcase, and it is a stunningly innovative example of what can be done with virtual theatre. This will be the first screening of the production since its digital premiere in April 2021. We are delighted to be joined by Marcus (co-director) and other members of the creative team for a post-screening discussion on their reflections and broader issues in the making of theatre performance in a digital age.
