Lessons learned from 2 years of combating misinformation on COVID-19 with the United Nations ‘Verified’ Initiative’ with Gautam Raju
Please see the registration link below for attendance at this event.
Verified is an initiative of the United Nations, in collaboration with Purpose, to provide content that cuts through misinformation to deliver life-saving information, fact-based advice and stories from the best of humanity.
Over the last 2 years, Verified has developed into a model for how the the UN can communicate and respond quickly and effectively to emerging global challenges. The Verified communications infrastructure, networks, and partnerships can be rapidly activated for future communications on public health and other issues.
A robust network of trusted messengers and partners- in addition to more traditional dissemination channels – enables the UN to engage hard to reach communities in new ways. Verified is powered by research and evidence-based approaches to behaviour change, considering localized, evolving audience and contextual factors. Verified has reached well over a billion people worldwide, engaging 250+ organisations and influential voices —including mass media partners, social media platforms, major corporates, civil society and public figures.
