OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. HAPP LECTURE: 'Physics of the Impossible Revisited'
Teleportation, time machines, force fields and interstellar spaceships—the stuff of science fiction or potentially attainable future technologies? Inspired by the fantastic worlds of Star Trek, Star Wars and Back to the Future, renowned theoretical physicist and bestselling author Professor Michio Kaku will discuss the scientific history and what our current understanding of the Universe’s physical laws may permit in the near and distant future. This talk will probe the very limits of human ingenuity and scientific possibility.
