OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
This year marks the 140th anniversary of the Ukrainian Women’s Movement. Rooted in Cossack families and the households of Greek-Catholic priests, pioneering women played a pivotal role in shaping social institutions and communities. This event offers a unique opportunity to delve into the inspiring history of Ukrainian feminism, exploring the cultural context that shaped its unique path and the distinct challenges it has faced. The discussion will also explore the legacy of 140 years of the Ukrainian Women’s Movement in relation to waves of global feminism and the role of women play today in the context of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
