On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

About the Films:
Created by Joel ‘Kachi Benson, Daughters of Chibok (2019) is an 11-minute virtual reality (VR) film, while the Mothers of Chibok (2024) is its 2D full-length feature sequel.
Daughters of Chibok (2019) – VR Film
A prequel to Mothers of Chibok, this gripping multi-award winning virtual reality documentary takes you into the heart of a small community that was torn apart when a terrorist group kidnapped 276 girls from their hostels.
Mothers of Chibok (2024) – 2D Film
In a small village in Northeast Nigeria, a community of mothers forge a path forward after the tragic events of April 2014 when their daughters were kidnapped by Boko Haram. The film follows four mothers over a farming season as they fight for their children and their futures. The media may have moved on from this once global topic, but the women continue to persevere in the face of great tragedy. Mothers of Chibok paints a visceral portrait of courage, faith, and the enduring power of hope.
If you are interested in watching the VR movie, Daughters of Chibok, it will be screened at 5:40 PM, before the screening of Mothers of Chibok at 6:00 PM.
