A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Popular conceptions of science and scientists can discourage people from contributing to science and can make being a scientist more stressful. In contrast to popular stereotypes, science typically benefits from collaborative open-minded problem solving, which is appealing to many and supports positive working environments. It is therefore important that we both incentivise and raise the profile of this approach to science.
