OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
'Water as a morphogen for landscape forms, some examples in France'
Sandrine Robert (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris – Aubervilliers, France), with consortium Project Time Machine, CNRS, IR* HumaNum and The Water Factory)
Water circulation is a determining factor in the organisation and resilience of the landscape in the long term. We will examine this through recent work carried out by the Time Machine project consortium, IR* CNRS and The Water Factory, such as an ancient meander of the Seine, whose shape is still visible in the urban fabric of Paris, or the landscapes of Pyrenean summer pastures structured by irrigation.
