Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Once Oxford Events launches, you will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
We will have a plenary session titled “‘Managing in the context of pandemic uncertainty: clinical innovation or research?”, Associate Professor Mark Sheehan, Oxford Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Ethics Fellow at the Ethox Centre, and a Research Fellow at the Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics in the Faculty of Philosophy.
Followed by talks from OUCAGS clinical academic trainees:
- “Incidence of Radiographic Lateral Compatment Osteoarthritis 15 years after Medial Unicompartmental Knee Replacement” by Henry Searle
- “The Children’s Surgery Outcome Reporting programme: Reducing unwarranted variation in outcome for children with surgical conditions” by Ben Allin
- “Investigating the effects of low-dose glibenclamide in type 1 diabetes” by Ioannis Spiliotis
