OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Social policy in a Romanian technocratic government: What can change in a year?
In cooperation with the Oxford University Romanian Society
The “technocratic” government appointed in Romania in December 2015 has around a year to run before it is replaced following parliamentary elections in November 2016.Midway through its life, Valeriu Nicolae will give an insider’s view on the challenges the government has faced – and continues to face – in the social policy area and more widely, and how it has addressed them. The subsequent discussion will also look more broadly at the effectiveness of technocratic governments as a response to popular protest.
