OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Block 21, Auschwitz: A Case Study in the Cultural Politics of Memory
Prof Robert Gordon works on modern Italian literature, cinema and cultural history. He is the author or editor over a dozen volumes, including a major study of Pier Paolo Pasolini (Pasolini. Forms of Subjectivity) and several books on the work of Primo Levi. He has also published on the wider field of postwar cultural responses to the Holocaust. He is co-editor of Culture, Censorship and the State in 20th-Century Italy. He is also the author of a general account of modern Italian literature (A Difficult Modernity: An Introduction to Twentieth-Century Italian Literature). He is Serena Professor of Italian and Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, and was elected Fellow of the British Academy in 2015.
The event has been organized in conjunction with ISO, the Italian Studies at Oxford Network, and will be followed by a drinks reception.
