OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

Desire Reading Group
This is a Reading Group for all those interested in Desire, not only its sexual or erotic form. We will meet three times a term to discuss two short pieces—whether they be prose, poetry, paintings, film, or something else, so long as it is short! Each week will be structured around a particular concept e.g. Mourning, or the Gaze, or Orientalism, or Cruising. The pieces must be short because they will be (hopefully) read in advance.
If you would like copies of the material and would like to participate in the group, please email Damian Maher (damian.maher@sjc.ox.ac.uk) so he can send it to you in advance. All are welcome.
