OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Reading group: Jennifer L. Fleissner'sMaladies of the Will: The American Novel and the Modernity Problem
Nicholas Gaskill and Lloyd Pratt will be running a reading group on Jennifer Fleissner’s ambitious and wide-ranging new study of the novel (especially the US novel) and modernity. Prof. Fleissner will be coming to Oxford in Week 8 to discuss her work, and this reading group will offer an opportunity to engage with her highly-anticipated book in advance of her visit.Maladies of the Willranges over literature, philosophy, criticism, and political and social theory to offer an astounding example of what literary criticism can do. Electronic access is currently available through SOLO.
