OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. Industrial & Applied Mathematics Seminar
The Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (OCIAM) is a world-leading research group in core applied mathematics. Our weekly term-time seminar series features experts in their field. Speakers cover diverse applied mathematics topics, including fluid dynamics, solid and statistical mechanics, mathematical biology, and the mathematical modeling of physical and industrial processes in a whole range of scales, spanning from the nanometric world of molecular machines to the plantery scales in geophysics. The seminars explore both theoretical advancements and practical applications, emphasizing how mathematical tools can address challenges in engineering, environmental science, healthcare, economics, and other industries.
