OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The Health and Care Studies Seminar Series explores the question of “What kind of system can best provide the health and care of the future?”
The National Health Service and social care system have been central institutions in British life since the 1940s. In a time of unprecedented change, their future is uncertain. Health and social care systems in other countries, whether high, middle or low-income, face similar challenges.
Short-term pressures and crises capture the attention of press, politicians and public. But there is an urgent need to consider the long-term question of “What kind of system can best provide the health and care of the future, whilst remaining both financially and politically sustainable?”
Green Templeton College Fellows (some already associated with existing or past Green Templeton College academic initiatives) have established a new termly seminar series to explore this question with a focus on capturing different perspectives and generating debate.
The aim is to build on participation and interest in the seminars to establish and actively support a broader network of researchers and practitioners that can help to develop useful synergies between research, policy and practice with a long-term, strategic focus.
