On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Dear All,
The ECM Brown Bag Seminar series is specifically for the MSc ECM course, providing an opportunity for MPhils and MScs to share insights from their ongoing dissertations. Talks will be limited to 40 minutes followed by 20 minutes of Q&A. The series provides an opportunity for ECM students to:
+ Get critical feedback as their research progresses.
+ Develop their communication skills for diverse audiences, fundamentally important for post-ECM careers etc.
+ Enhance their learning experience here at Oxford as it provides a forum for continued dialogue on important ECM related topics. Some of these sessions will include talks from external ECR colleagues working on ECM-related topics that we do not explicitly cover here in Oxford, further broadening students learning and knowledge of wider ECM topics/debates etc.
+ Establishing collaborative networks with staff and external speakers based on shared research interests.
I would like to invite and encourage you to attend these seminars. There is so much good work being done by our MSc ECM students that we as a department (School of Geography and the Environment) are not fully aware of. This seminar series will hopefully address this.
Best wishes,
Avidesh
