OxTalks is Changing
OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Women's Rights Research Seminars
The Women’s Rights Research Seminar (WRRS) at the Middle East Centre, St Antony’s College was founded in 2009 with the initial aim of directing interdisciplinary scholarly research on women in Iran. Since then, the research group has broadened to include the Middle East region. The aim of the WRRS is to present current research on the changing Middle East and how development and globalization have affected women’s rights. The original conveners were Nazila Ghanea-Hercock, Anna Enayat, Mastan Ebtehaj, Soraya Tremayne and Camillia El-Solh, then Marilyn Booth, Nazila Ghanea-Hercock and Soraya Tremayne took hold of the baton up until 2022. For 2023 the convenor is Dr Maryam Alemzadeh. The WRRS usually takes place twice each University of Oxford term time. All are welcome to attend. Details of the forthcoming WRRS are advertised through the Middle East Centre weekly newsletter. and as a Middle East Centre event.
