Grand Challenges Seminar Series
Every year, our first year students organise and deliver a series of seminars focussing on some of the grand challenges of our time. These seminars are one of the highlights of the calendar and attract interest from around the world. From 2021, the scope of the seminars has expanded, and is now being delivered by a group of students spanning four UKRI-funded programmes under the auspices of the MPLS Doctoral Training Centre. We will be joined by the BBSRC DTP in Interdisciplinary Bioscience, The Chemistry in Cells DTC and The Sustainable Approaches to Biomedical Science CDT. Each seminar is organised by a group of students across programmes making the seminars truly interdisciplinary.
