OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The Humane Philosophy Project (HPP) is an initiative based at the Universities of Oxford and Warsaw. The Project aims to provide a home for philosophy approached from a humanistic perspective and to revitalise the connection between contemporary philosophy and the arts and humanities. We have received generous support from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, UK; the John Templeton Foundation; Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford; the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion, University of Oxford; the Institute of Philosophy, University of Warsaw; the Emmy Noether Group, at the Ruhr University, Bochum; the Dalai Lama Centre for Compassion; the AHRC DTP, Univerity of Cambridge; the School of History and Heritage, University of Lincoln; and a number of private donors. The Project has organised numerous international events in philosophy and hosts a growing library of audio and video recordings. The HPP is also strongly engaged in promoting academic collaboration between western and eastern Europe.
