OxTalks is Changing
Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Women’s Rights Research Seminars
The Women’s Rights Research Seminar (WRRS) at the Middle East Centre, St Antony’s College, was founded in 2009 with the initial aim of directing interdisciplinary scholarly research on women in Iran. Since then, the research group has broadened to include the Middle East region. The aim of the WRRS is to present current research on the changing Middle East and how development and globalization have affected women’s rights. Previous seminar conveners were Nazila Ghanea-Hercock, Anna Enayat, Mastan Ebtehaj, Soraya Tremayne, Camillia El-Solh and Professor Marilyn Booth.
The current convener is Dr Maryam Alemzadeh. The WRRS usually takes place twice each University of Oxford term time. All are welcome to attend. Details of the forthcoming WRRS are advertised through the Middle East Centre weekly newsletter, and as a Middle East Centre event or you can subscribe to our Women’s Rights Research Seminar emailing list (wrrs-subscribe@maillist.ox.ac.uk) and you’ll receive emails about WRRS events.
