OxTalks is Changing
On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

The Empathy Project
Founded by Maryam and James, two friends from different backgrounds, The Empathy Project was created to bridge growing divides between Muslim/Arab and Jewish/Israeli communities in the UK — especially on university campuses. Misinformation and fear have made genuine connection difficult, and we wanted to change that.
Our mission is to combat dehumanisation through apolitical dialogue — creating spaces where students can share stories, build friendships, and foster empathy.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact Maryam – mailto:maryam.alketbi@wadham.ox.ac.uk or James – mailto:james.abrahams@spc.ox.ac.uk
