OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Dr. Briana De Miranda is a Neurotoxicologist and Assistant Professor of Neurology within the Killion Center for Neurodegeneration and Experimental Therapeutics at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her research examines the role of environmental exposures in the risk for Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body disorders, with a central focus on mechanisms of neurotoxicity that drive dopaminergic neurodegeneration and alpha-synuclein aggregation. Her lab at UAB specializes in experimental systems of exposure that recapitulate environmental conditions found in human populations, including inhalation of organic solvents and contaminated drinking water.
