Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
The Alison Brading Circle will hold its first speaker event of Hilary term on Wednesday 21 February at 6.30pm. The speaker will be LMH alumna Professor Joanna Poulton, who is Professor of Mitochondrial Genetics at the Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive Health. She is also an adviser to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) on mitochondrial genetics.
Anyone with an interest in medical sciences is welcome to come along and hear Professor Poulton speak about her research into mitochondrial disorders and the ways in which they may be transmitted from parent to child. She will also speak about her experience of university and the academic sector as a neurodiverse individual.
This promises to be a stimulating and inspiring discussion, which will be followed by a drinks reception and refreshments. All subjects and backgrounds are warmly welcome.
